BYD has released more than 50,000 all-electric buses for 9 years. The first electric bus K9 was released in Changsha in 2010, just nine years ago.

50 000 was a 12-meter bus K9UB for Spain, who went 18 Jan of test facility BYD in Hangzhou.

Currently, BYD’s electric buses are used in more than 300 cities worldwide. Today electric buses BYD not only become commonplace in major Chinese cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Changsha and XI’an, but also spread to other medium and small cities of the country. In addition, BYD is also gradually expanding its international customer base to fully electric buses, as the first batch of 35 electric buses have been exported to Amsterdam airport Schiphol in 2013. Also BYD electric buses being used in London, Los Angeles, Sydney airport, Stanford University and even Facebook.

For comparison: in the European and American market sales of electric buses have not yet reached 5 000 (all manufacturers).
