Kia Soul EV c battery 64 kWh received official reserve 391 km according to EPA

Kia Soul EV in 2020 was estimated EPA with a 391-mile range reserve (239 miles). With a range of 391 km of new Kia Soul EV 2020 slightly exceeds own Kia eNiro, which has a cruising range of 385 km.

Recall, Kia eNiro received a 239 mile (385 km) estimate range reserve from the EPA. The upcoming Soul EV gets a smaller range than the Hyundai Kona Electric, which has a cruising range of 258 miles (415 km). In the model Kia Soul EV 2020 uses the same battery with liquid cooling and 64 kWh, as in eNiro.

Given that the current Soul EV with a battery 30 kWh has a power reserve of EPA at 179 km, this is a huge step to increase the movement range for the Soul EV.

First Kia Soul EV 2020 was presented at the motor show in Los Angeles in 2018. The electric car got the engine for 150 kW with torque at 395 N⋅m — this is the same Kona Electric EV and Niro. The new model will have fast charging CCS Combo, unlike previous models that used the CHAdeMO standard with a maximum output of 70 kW.

It is assumed that the Electric Kia Soul 2020 will go on sale to the US market at the end of this year, information about the cost of new items yet.
