Polestar has released an app with a custom version of the new HMI system Google Android, which will be first used in future electric car Polestar 2. The app also includes an image of the upper part of the future of the electric car.
As previously reported, Google HMI is a new and completely Autonomous system that operates independently from a smartphone and which is the main electric vehicle.
Polestar 2 OS based on Android, will always be connected to the Internet with wireless updating and installing apps. Polestar 2 will include adapted for use in vehicle applications, services and technologies that people use every day on their smartphones (e.g. Google Maps and Google Assistant). Additional download applications will be available through the Google Play Store, and the owners of Polestar 2 will be able to use your smartphone as a car key.
Of application become aware of some characteristics of management of electric vehicles. The driver will receive:
- 3 mode settings of the steering control;
- assistance in the retention of lanes;
- the notification distance of the vehicle ahead;
- function anti-collision, reading traffic signs and alerts about speed cameras.
Earlier, Polestar has released the first teaser of its all-electric “rival Tesla Model 3”.
