VW wants to sell 1 million electric cars in China by 2025

At the seminar in China, Volkswagen showed three new models PHEV: a PHEV Touareg, Magotan concept GTE and GTE concept Tayron, and announced plans by 2025 to produce in China 1 million new electrified vehicles per year.

The German brand plans to develop its initiative of electrification in China in 3 steps.

The first will begin with the release of plug-in hybrids and electric cars local or imported.

The second is that by 2020, the full range of electrified automobiles in China will include at least 10 models, and the local production of cars with electric drive will reach 300 000.

In the third stage, to 2020-2021 years, all electric cars will be produced on an innovative platform MEB, and will have a new design and improved user interface.
